Changes for POWERBANK.FO: isolated the coastline, simplified it, projected it to Web Mercator and restyled it as a local SVG. All 199 polygons are retained, including the 18 main islands. This is an overview, not a survey or navigational chart. Island labels are placed near island centres for readability. Planned station coordinates are approximate and maintained separately in content/settings.ts.

Rebuild with scripts/build-faroe-map.py and the source GeoJSON. Optional street-map tiles are © OpenStreetMap contributors and are requested only with visitor consent. https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright

Verification, September 13, 2026: the 18 largest source coastline polygons were individually identified and retained as named SVG paths: Streymoy, Eysturoy, Vágar, Suðuroy, Sandoy, Borðoy, Viðoy, Kunoy, Kalsoy, Svínoy, Fugloy, Nólsoy, Mykines, Skúvoy, Hestur, Stóra Dímun, Koltur and Lítla Dímun. Names checked against https://trap.fo/en/the-islands-towns-and-settlements/. The remaining 181 polygons preserve smaller islets and skerries. Label anchor points are computed from source polygon centroids. Labels are hidden when they would overlap controls, station markers or other names. Coastline geometry is unchanged by the September 13 visual restyling.
